About the Business

My goal is to be your guide through a personalized design and building process, working with you towards the realization of a unique and fulfilling environment that is custom tailored to your site, your needs and your budget.

I provide cost-effective, client-based architectural services for projects of all scopes and sizes, from kitchen remodels to urban planning studies. Each project is a personal commitment, and I approach each with a degree of thoroughness and thoughtfulness that reflects and respects the depth of your own commitment.

I believe every project is a unique opportunity to create a respectful, beautiful environment. I want to help you realize your project's fullest potential in a design that rises above the ordinary.

Biography

I was born and raised in Colorado. After graduating from Wesleyan University and working for two years at architectural firms in Denver and Seattle, I attended Yale University School of Architecture, where I graduated in 1990.

I offer clients over 20 years of work experience, with over 14 years of experience as a sole practitioner. I have enjoyed working on a wide variety of project types, from large hospitality, retail and office designs to small TI projects and home remodels. I've also designed for and lived in a diverse range of climates and building environments.

In addition to my architectural practice, I have developed, general contracted and sold a number of my own residential designs. From laying foundation drains to scheduling sub-contractors and inspections, this hands-on experience has given me a deep understanding of how the development and construction process interacts with, and benefits from, thoughtful design.

I have lived in Bend, Oregon since 2003 with my wife and daughter. I am NCARB Certified and am licensed in the states of Washington, Oregon and Colorado.
